At Backs in Action, we want to be a model for the type of community we want for our world: diverse, inclusive, safe and welcoming.
This past weekend, our neighbours to the south found that their borders were suddenly closed to those most in need of friendship – immigrants, refugees and even documented residents from around the world based solely on their country of origin. Banning people because of their faith, creed, race, sexual orientation or ethnicity is antithetical to the core values that Backs in Action champions and the community it is striving to create.
We know this directly impacts many of our friends, family and supporters as well as those that are closest to them. Please know we stand with you and will do whatever we can to continue standing tall for what we believe a community should and has to be.
