This year is the 30th Anniversary of the World Partnership Walk (WPW), which is Canada’s largest fundraising event to end global poverty! 100% of the donations made to the World Partnership Walk go to the Aga Khan Foundation Canada (aKFC), a non-profit non-denominational international development agency, to help alleviate poverty and build sustainable solutions in some of the poorest regions of the world. Some projects include
- Ensuring clean water and sanitation
- Strengthening community based organizations
- Providing access to medical care
- Educating new generations of girls and boys, women and men.
It is time to break the cycle of global poverty and help families get the care and education they need to live a better life!
DONATE WITH US!
For Dr. Farrah Jiwa, the WPW is very near and dear to her heart. Helping those less privileged and creating awareness about global poverty amongst the community motivates and empowers Dr. Jiwa to proudly say “I am an ambassador of the World Partnership Walk and I am celebrating my 30th year as a participant!” Dr. Jiwa welcomes each and every one of you to join her team “The Flame of Hope” at the World Partnership Walk on May 25th at Lumbermans Arch, Stanley Park!
MAY 2014 – DONATE AND GET TAX RECEIPT!
During the month of May, for every donation towards the World Partnership Walk, patients will receive a discount on their treatment equal to half of their donation! For example a $50 donation will entitle you to $25 off of your treatment, and you will also receive a tax receipt for your charitable donation. Essentially a win-win, lets make a difference together to help alleviate global poverty!
