When you visit our Vancouver facility for chiropractic care, physiotherapy, acupuncture, massage therapy and kinesiology, we offer many payment options to cover your services including direct billing. Direct billing saves our patients time and money as we work on our patients’ behalf by directly invoicing their health insurance providers. You will be spared the tedious process of filing the claim yourself which means we will submit the receipts and deal with the paperwork on your behalf. We will also assist you with eliminating or significantly reducing your out-of-pocket expenses related to your treatments.
Backs In Action has close working relationships with more than 45 health insurance companies which allows us to process your claims efficiently and in a timely manner. Through these relationships, we will make sure you receive the full amount of the benefits you are entitled to. At the beginning of your visit or when booking your appointment, please provide the details of your insurance plan and your claim. For patients who do not have extended health coverage, we work with BC MSP, ICBC and WorkSafe BC to ensure your urgent healthcare needs are covered.

WCB and WSBC – WorksafeBC Practitioners
Backs In Action is a registered WorkSafeBC healthcare provider which means that we provide treatments and services to workers covered under the WorkSafeBC program. When workplace injuries or diseases associated with the worksite occur, WorkSafeBC, formerly known as WCB, will work with us to cover the costs of your recovery, rehabilitation and ensuring your safe return to work.
Our close relationship with the provincial agency guarantees that your claims will be processed in a timely and efficient manner at no cost to you. Our dedicated team of healthcare practitioners are experts in their fields, providing specialized treatments and care for workplace injuries. Currently we partner with WorkSafeBC to cover physiotherapy, acupuncture and chiropractic services. If you currently have a claim, don’t wait until your benefits expire.
ICBC Treatments & Plans
The aftermath of a motor vehicle accident (MVA) is an extremely traumatic experience where victims often deal with whiplash, headaches, acute or recurrent pain in the neck, back or extremities. In some instances, people may also notice changes to their mental health. At Backs In Action have developed specialized treatment plans and programs to provide ICBC claimants the best care to ensure optimal outcomes for your recovery and rehabilitation. As of April 1, 2019, MVA victims no longer need formal pre-approval from ICBC to access urgently needed treatment and care. Once you report the incident to ICBC and obtain a claim number, you are eligible to receive much needed services as soon as day 1 of the accident.
Backs In Action is a registered enhanced ICBC care provider which not only enables us to deal with your claims and coverage when you sustain injuries in a MVA within the province of BC, but it also allows us to work with out-of-province insurance companies in cases where you are involved in a MVA in another province or when your coverage is outside of BC.
Our treatments and services developed for MVA patients include physiotherapy, chiropractic care, kinesiology therapy (Active Rehab), massage therapy, acupuncture and counselling.
We have been able to partner with ICBC to provide coverage for the following at no cost to the patient:
- registered massage therapy (depends on the length of massage)
- acupuncture
- counselling

MSP Paid Treatment Plans
We at Backs In Action believe no one should be denied health care services that can offer vast improvements to a patient’s well being and quality of life. Individuals such as seniors and students will not have access to employee benefits such as extended health insurance and must rely solely on our provincial medical insurance plan, MSP. We work with the MSP Assistance program to help patients have $23 of the cost of their appointments covered for up to 10 treatment sessions per calendar year. Patients will be required to cover the remainder of the costs per visit. Only those that qualify for MSP assistance will be able to access our services:
