I’ve been in a car accident. What are my recovery options?

Chiropractic: ICBC recognizes chiropractic treatment as an effective recovery method in patients with spinal injuries (back and neck trauma) as part of its Pilot Project. ICBC provides 100% coverage and pays the chiropractor directly for treatment. This means that there are no out of pocket expenses and you are covered for as many treatments as the chiropractor deems necessary.

Massage: ICBC also recognizes massage therapy as a recovery method for patients in motor vehicle accidents. Let your adjustor know that you would like to receive treatment from an RMT and in most cases; they allow 12 treatments within 8 weeks of the date of the motor vehicle accident. To proceed with treatment, a referral from a medical doctor is needed. ICBC covers $23 of the treatment fee which we bill directly and you pay the remaining amount of the treatment fee.
