The Importance of Prompt and Proper Care
After an accident, many individuals focus on “toughing it out” or quickly returning to work or daily activities. However, untreated injuries can lead to long-term complications, such as chronic pain, reduced mobility, or further injury.
Our clinic offers a holistic approach to recovery, including physiotherapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, kinesiology, acupuncture and counseling. These services not only address your immediate pain but also ensure you rebuild strength, restore mobility, and support your mental well-being.

Navigating Support with WorkSafeBC
If your injury occurred at work, WorkSafeBC provides financial and medical support to help you recover.
What does WorkSafeBC cover?
WorkSafeBC typically covers:
- Medical assessments and treatments (e.g., physiotherapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture).
- Wage loss benefits if you’re unable to work during your recovery.
- Rehabilitation services to support your return to work.
How to get started with WorkSafeBC:
- Report the injury to your employer immediately.
- Submit a worker’s injury report through the WorkSafeBC website.
- Visit a healthcare provider who can assess your condition and submit a report to WorkSafeBC.
Once your claim is approved, WorkSafeBC will coordinate coverage for your treatment. At our clinic, we’re experienced in working with WorkSafeBC claims, so you can focus on healing while we handle the logistics.
Support Through ICBC for Car Accident Injuries
If you’ve been injured in a car accident, ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) provides access to care through its Enhanced Care program.
What does ICBC cover?
ICBC may cover:
- Up to 25 sessions each of physiotherapy and chiropractic care therapy in the first 12 weeks following the accident
- Up to 12 sessions each of acupuncture and massage therapy in the first 12 weeks following the accident.
- Up to 12 sessions of psychological counseling to address trauma or stress related to the accident.
- Up to 12 sessions of active rehabilitation with a kinesiologist to rebuild strength and mobility.
How to access ICBC benefits:
- Report the accident to ICBC as soon as possible.
- Obtain your ICBC claim number and provide it to your healthcare providers.
- Book an initial appointment at our clinic. We’ll create a treatment plan tailored to your needs and bill ICBC directly for approved services.
If your recovery extends beyond the initial coverage period, we can work with ICBC to request additional treatments based on your progress.
What About Out-of-Pocket Costs?
For WorkSafeBC and ICBC patients, treatment costs are often covered with an approved claim. For ICBC, there may be small user fees ($5-$10) to cover the shortfall that ICBC pays to the clinic, which you can often charge to your extended health insurance. If you don’t have coverage or need additional care beyond what’s funded, our clinic offers direct billing to extended health insurance providers to minimize out-of-pocket expenses. We are also happy to work on a plan with patients who may not have the financial means to cover the user fees for their treatments – as this should not be a barrier to care.
