Dr. Lucas Tisshaw, BSc, DC, ART Provider – Chiropractor
Dr. Lucas Tisshaw uses a multifaceted approach to his chiropractic treatment to help you work comfortably, play harder, feel better, and live an overall healthier life.
His experience encapsulates patients from all walks of life ranging from: children to seniors; the injured to the healthy; recreational to professional athletes; as well as people who have never seen a chiropractor to those who have been treated by a chiropractor since childhood.
Dr. Lucas has been a competitive hockey, baseball, and basketball player for the vast majority of his life and continues to play in top level men’s hockey and baseball leagues. He is actively involved in recreational sports, is an avid cyclist, hikes with his wife Sarah, and weight trains.
Combined with his widespread experience in sport, his extensive training in anatomy, and experience working with postural biomechanics, Dr. Lucas has knowledge of diagnosing conditions of the feet, knees, hips, wrists, elbows, and shoulders.
Hi treatment plans, tailored to each patient, combine myofascial release techniques with chiropractic adjustments. Together they improve healing times of joints, muscles, and nerves. Dr. Lucas places an important emphasis on educating and teaching rehab exercises to engage and strengthen your core, generate new muscle fibers, and neurologically rewire healthy movements and posture, and has developed a library of functional exercises.
Dr. Lucas received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. He is a member of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association, the British Columbia College of Chiropractors, and Canadian Chiropractic Association.
